Do we need to be also registered with nrmp for the scramble or ERAS registration only is enough. I don,t really understand where to stand for the scramble. Anyone can explain it to me very well how to proceed? Please

The following information is currently posted on the ERAS website (http://ecfmg22.securesites.net/eras/) and provides more detail on what you can and cannot do during the scramble process:
National Resident Matching Program
The NRMP matches applicants with available residency positions. To participate, applicants must have met the NRMP's exam requirements, and the exam results must be available in time to participate.
For information on Match registration and requirements, visit the NRMP website.
NRMP Post-Match Scramble
This general information about the post-Match Scramble may answer most of your questions. Please be aware that the Scramble involves three different organizations:
• Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), which operates MyERAS
• The National Resident Matching Program (NRMP, or "the Match")
• ERAS Support Services at ECFMG, your designated dean's office
All applicants who have not matched with a residency program may participate in the post-Match Scramble. If you have any outstanding fees with the AAMC ERAS or with ECFMG, you must make the necessary payment(s) to clear any outstanding balances; otherwise, you will be prohibited from participating in the Scramble.
The Scramble starts on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at 12:00 noon and ends on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at 12:00 noon, Eastern Time in the United States. You may apply to any program with an unfilled position.
Apply as soon as the list of unfilled programs has been posted at www.nrmp.org at 12:00 noon, Eastern Time in the United States, on Tuesday, March 13, 2007. You will not have access to the list of unfilled programs if you did not register with the Match; refer to NRMP website for its policies. The Match Agreement prohibits applicants from sharing the NRMP's List of Unfilled Programs with individuals who did not register with the Match.
You may apply to a maximum of 30 programs during the two-day Scramble. There is no charge for applying to programs during the Scramble if you have registered with the NRMP. Any programs to which you apply after 12:00 noon, Eastern Time in the United States, on Thursday, March 15, 2007 will be charged at the regular rate.
If you have previously applied to a program with an unfilled position, contact the program to remind them that they have your application and request that they take another look at it. You cannot re-transmit your application.
Important Information
Regardless of whether you have or have not registered with the NRMP, you should not contact any programs before noon on Tuesday, March 13, 2007. It is important that you understand the terms and conditions of the Match Agreement; therefore, please read the agreement found on the NRMP website. Programs will take note of applicants who violate this Match rule and may report them to the NRMP. Programs as well as applicants are bound by the Match Agreement.
We also urge you not to engage services that, for a fee, purport to help you by flooding programs with unsolicited applications from multiple applicants, either by e-mail or fax. Instead of being helpful, in most cases they are detrimental to your application. Therefore, be sure to register with the NRMP by the late-registration/rank order list certification deadline. After having consulted the list of unfilled programs on Tuesday of Match Week, go to MyERAS and apply to some of those programs. Be sure to assign your LoRs and USMLE transcript to the programs, so that we can transmit them accordingly.
It is important to know that programs may participate in ERAS but not in the Match. The reverse holds true - programs may participate in the Match but may not participate in ERAS. You will need to research this information on your own.
ERAS Support Services at ECFMG during the Scramble
During the two Scramble days, we will login to the ERAS PostOffice several times each day to retrieve your document assignments and program lists. We will process those lists and transmit your documents shortly thereafter. You may change any information that the software will allow you to change. You may change the information in MyProfile and you may reassign personal statements and LoRs.
During the 48 hours of the Scramble, there is no time for manual processing. Your file must be ready for automatic processing by our system before the Scramble begins. That means:
• One week before the Scramble, you must apply to at least one program at MyERAS.
• If you are sending us new or replacement LoRs, we must have them one week prior to the Scramble. If you have a new or additional LoR, assign it to one of your original programs. This gives us time to attach it before the Scramble.
• If you are sending us a replacement LoR from the same writer, attach a note to it that reads, "This replaces the previous LoR." Otherwise, we might mistake it for the LoR we have already scanned and discard it without scanning.
• You must also make sure that all of your documents have been received and assigned, so that we can attach and transmit them before the Scramble.
• If you are planning to apply during the post-Match Scramble only, you must still apply to at least one program about one week before the Scramble.
• You cannot make changes to your CAF, however you can update your Profile at any time.

I registered only through ERAS nad did not know that I should do it on nrmp.. It seems that it is over for me or can I use the ERAS in any other way

Hey Alzheimer dont believe all that u read. While its true that u need to be registered with ERAS for transmission of documents, its not true that u HAVE to be registered with NRMP. Registering with the NRMP will give u access to the list of unfilled programs post match. However if you are able to get the list somehow, u can apply directly.....all that u need is the list.
