anybody can list what the muffled heart sound implies?

Anything that stops you from hearing the heart well: pericarditis with or without tampondade, a fat person, a thymoma...

even severe hypovolemia gives u muffled heart sounds. others will b pericardial tamponade. pericarditis wont cause muffling.

Muffler is a part of exhaust system in all motored vehicles to dampen the sound of engine.
Using the analogy, muffled could be due to weak fuel (low volume) or coverings over engine (pericardial, pleural effusions).
