I have always thought of writing a journal-I missed it for step1..
I am starting today with my first post (inspired by GOODGIRL in step1 prep journals).I think I can and definitely I will keep up my spirit till the end!!
I have crossed many Obstacles just for this exam!!Final result means much more to me!I should get what I have wished..I should prove myself ..This is my last opportunity..If this is missed then I should have to feel for my entire life....PROVE THAT YOU CAN ALSO CRACK THIS!What you have studied for the past 51/2 years is not worthless!
Good future is around!Don't shatter it -Just 6 months-Go on..go on..You can...you have crossed so many problems,so many die-hard situations....This is definitely doable.If you can't WHO CAN?
TO GET WHAT YOU HAVE NEVER GOT YOU MUST DO WHAT YOU HAVE NEVER DONE BEFORE!!!

While I was preparing for step 1 journal,to be frank,I just dropped into the forum just to see goodgirl's inspiring words in the journal..That would boost up me for the entire day..I would definitely keep up to the mark..
NOTHING ELSE IS IMPORTANT!!!

I have been lazy enough all hrough the day NOT to concentrate fully..Still in the relaxed mood of finishing step 1.I should get out of this as soon as possible...No time at all....It is really difficult to get into the groove again for me.and also with my master's program around,have to concentrate on that too.I am not sure when this is going to change..Little bit afraid and angry on myself....
Just finished 15 pages ...Worst performance.

Today...somewhat ok...slowly getting into the groove...Finished gastro only..But pretty much wandered in mind today..If this persists,it is really difficult to acheive the desired goal ..I am not sure how to stop this mind wandering...It is really grabbing precious time from me...Trying to be focussed..

Starting today's portion..Will try my best to finish endocrinology within today..YOU CAN...Don't get disturbed or distracted..Be focussed..No time at all....it is Now or never.....You will definitely have a tough time later on....

Today,Thought in the middle of the day to lsiten to DVD's..So was able to finish only half of endo...Not bad...Go on...Try to accelerate....

Wasted a lot of time today....one good thing is -Clarified many doubts but that's not an excuse.....Today's is NOT enough and in the long run u are going to suffer!!!
Will try to recover tomorow...still NOT finished ENDO..A little confusing..all about Calcium and adrenals...

I should curse myself for what I have done today.....trying to just hang in there...Waiting for the time to catch my bus...just wanting to enjoy...This is not going to help you by any means....
Atlast finished ENDO...Should have finished RHeum..Its ok...Let's see tomorrow

Returning after a long break..Got my Step 1 score to be 96..I think it is time to be back into the track..Spent a lot of precious time just wasting around-first waiting for my scores -now spending on decent score...I am not sure how to come out of this vicious circle..I haven't started reading sincerely yet..I am planning to finish half of infectious diseases in Internal medicine today-20 pages..
A sincere request from you guys whoever drop into this post : Please let me know ur experience too..I feel more motivated when somebody watches my progress..I think i am asking for more but If u guys could do that,I will be evry happy...
I am going to post my doubts,questions evgery day from now onwards...So if u wish to discuss on those topics u are more than welcome..

I had made my task completed yesterday..today -Next half of infectious diseases-20 pages...
20 pages/day is kinda ok??or too slow??Any ideas??
Answer to yesterday's question is Ampicillin+genatmicin to counteract Listeria.Though crptococcus can cause meningitis in HIV,it causes only when cd 4 count is less than 100..So,the next common organism in immuno-compromised patietns is Listeria...I think the explanation sounds good?!

Finished infectious diseases...wasted yesterday..no excuse at all..watched youtube videos and too late to realise that it robbed me 2 hours...
Compensated a bit today..but NOT enough!

Point to remember is :
*Oral white plaque in an HIV patient-Not only candidiasis but also leukoplakia,lichen planus
*Herpesvirus DNA-PCR is not only for herpes virus but also for EBV which causes oral hairy leukoplakia.
*Herpetic ulcers will be painful and eroded.

Today---Mission accomplished and I think I am committed a bit...I am not sure whetehr I remember things or not..Lost my way a little bit in the evening-But today I am satisfied-Good work...Still lot to do..
Tomorrow's portion : Have some class to attend-have some teaching work-other than that-should complete nephrology and do questions-study for upcoming test in master;s degree.
Difficult task-But have to finish.

Things didn't go as I expected.But,the good thing is had a look at few of the questions in qbook...Didn't finish nephrology still..I should have..But I have a test on Friday-studying for that-hope to sneak some time tomorrow to finish nephrology....

Yeah..I know how difficult it is to prepare with some other stuff around..I can't even study a single line today due to my test tomorrow...Really frustrating..but NO OTHER GO...As you said-WE WILL DO IT -and keep on motivating each other....

Thanks doc08 for ur support....I have finished pulmo and starting today on neurology...a bit slow since I am doing with questions..As long as I don't waste time ..that's fine..NO OTHER GO!!!Today have to finish Neurology!!!Whatever happens!!!!
