What is the average time for processing of visa ap without premium processing

  #2

2-3 months

  #3

retail,

for H1b you need a state medical license which can itself take 6-8 weeks, after that you apply h1b, which can take another 2 months.

if any step of the procedure gets delayed then there is a possibility of a late start in residency

Since I have my step 3 score...can I apply for state medical license right now?

No, you have to sign a contract first.

So, Let's have an order:

Sign the contract, apply for state license, get the H1 application form from porgram and apply, hopefully you will start on July 1st.

2 months for state license and 2 months for visa, totally 4 months

2 months for state license in months of april, may, june ( peak months) if prematched licensing done in 30 days.....

2-3 months for H1 visa... if premium processing then 2-3 weeks...

sequence - exams then match, then sign contract, then apply for licesnse, then contact attorney for H1 visa processing when step 3 results available ( if not available earlier), then when recieve H1 relevant papers, apply for H1 visa at local US embassy, then sit abck and relax and start residency June/July

Premium processing isn't a guarantee. We were refunded our money on the 2 late start residents - they are 6 weeks off cycle.

Do I have to pay the premium processing fees? Or does the program sponsor tht? Or does it vary with the program?

bbb were the residents from a particular country. was there some mistake in filing papers . is it becuz of pure bad luck or some mistake that premium processing was not done. thanks

premium needs specific reason. u can search and c that on form for h1 b. i think we all meet that reason since it can be used for people who need to start earlier than usual visa processing time as far as i remember.

Combination of high volume in the US and no appointments in the embassy. Late is late when you are talking about the care of patients.

According to the Homeland Security regulations on H1b visas, if a program is mandating that you need preminum processing, the employer pays it - and all costs. I don't know how other programs are getting away with making the resident pay for it.

Usually most of the programs I interviewed told us that we would ahve to pay the extra for premium porcessing.

GUys, I also checked about the license thing, for you to apply for license you need SSN. For you to have SSN you need H1. So I dont know how it works.

How much of an issue is it to get the J1 visa done.

How much time does it take ?.

WR nod

Dev...

For licensing purposes,, there is a form called SSN waiver form which will be given to you when your hospital will give you the license forms... you can apply with SSN waiver form and get your license..

you WILL need your license to apply for H1B visa

I have my licesne and am applying for H1 now.
