Step 1 :90 Step 2 : 99 Step 2 CS passed , did not take step 3 when I applied I needed visa , but got my EAD now applied to 32 programs , got 13 interviews , went to 11 of them . I ranked just 8 programs I have 2 US lORS , 3 months of observership , residency from my homecountry , graduated in 2001 got 4 prematches , declined all of them but the reason of not accepting a prematch was that I have to try the Programs from the area I live, I have a family and relocate would be more difficult . I really feel sorry for not have take one of my prematches, but... Hopefully the best will happen ...God is in control of everything. I am counting the days , hours.

we always mention our scores as the ultimate determinant of intv calls. now most of us realize that other factors also play a role. i suggest that every one mention any strong point , that may play a role in strengthening the application, and help to get more interview calls. for me, i had contacts (attendings) in 2 out of the 11 hospitals from which i got calls..., and they helped me to get my interviews.....!

Step 1: 84; Step 2: 98; graduate in 2001. Work in the pharm industry for 2 years, and as postdoc in academia for 3 years; 8 publications; got a GC as self-sponsored, I did two moths observership in IM in a university based program. I thought "research was my strenght". Applied to 49 IM programs (most of them university-based, only 3 were community hospitals). Looking back it was risky. I request to short track. I got 6 interview calls, attended 5 and rank 4 including the institution where I am working now. Waiting for the match.
