after a major surgery what is the primary reason for amenorrhea? (35 years old woman with no 0bs/gyn pathology)
a. decreased gonadotrophin
b. increased TSH
c. increased ACTH
d. decreased oxytocin
e. increased prolactin

answer-e prolactin... Cushing syndrome could also do it!

A - Decreased gonadotropines because of Sheehan's syndrome

surgery(e.g.mastectomy) via perpheral neural stimulation----> increased prolactin
