btw I also signed a prematch with prelim. IMG 99/99. H1b. just presented step3. It seems that prematch in neuro is not very classical. The program where i got my prematchsaid that it was the first time they offered one. ps it is in New York city. where is yours Murfuc?

Thanks Chaf. Congrats to you too!! Mine is in NY State. And yes I'm an IMG, old grad (2002) no USCE no neuro experience in home country either. 4+ years of research here in the States... I think that is what helped the most. When I told some one that I got a prematch (neurologist here) he was shocked. He said he never heard of it before... so I guess you are right. It is very rare... What an honor! Also there are only 121 programs so I guess the spots are also very limited... (Little under 500 I think)... Well, I hope all the other dedicated candidates here on this forum will match! Neuro is really a field for driven, interested people - I think. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!
