A 3-year-old boy,known to have sickle cell anemia,presents to the emergency room with sudden onset of severe pallor.clinical examination reveals massive splenomegaly.on an earlier clinic visit 2 weeks before this boy had splenomegaly of only 2 cm.which one of the following is most likely explanation for this acute deterioration?
1) hemolysis
2) malaria
3) hemangioma

5) sequestration
