hi

I don't know if that's the right place to post my q, but I'll give it a try: I'm an IMG (2006 graduate) preparing for 2008 match and for now I'm gathering the papers I'll be needing for my application. My q is: can I still request my Dean a Medical Student Performance Evaluation since I already graduated and obviously I'm not a student any longer?

I'm asking this because info from various internet sources said that MSPE should be obtained by students during their final year. I just missed that, so should I still request a MSPE or should I go with the classic Dean's letter (although they specifically ask for a mspe starting this year)?

Thanks and good luck everyone in this year's Match!!!

i had my med school prepare a MSPE one year after graduation. if your school has lot of graduates who go on to US residencies then your school dean's office must be familiar with MSPE and should issue you one along with the transcripts and all the other neccessary paper work even though you have graduated.

good luck.

MSPE is probably not that important for IMGs, at least I did not show it and had good number of IVs. ECFMG puts a blank paper, so your application will be considered complete. good luck, ngt.

klimt, even as an IMG, you still need the MSPE. And you would better get it the same year you apply for the Match (i.e, in 2007 for 2008).
