hey!
i had used the ecfmg issued ID for verification of identity at prometric ( for step1, and CK) bcos my ecfmg name wasn't the same as the one on my US ID.
now when i am applying for step3 using the name on my ecfmg certificate, FSMB says I will have to change the name on my applicatin to make it compatible with the US ID . my question is this: dont they issue IDs like ecfmg? if i do change my name will the discrepancy between names cause a problem in state licensure? anyone in similar position please add inputs!!!

go to ecfmg site. i think for name change u have to fill a form and get it attested . pls c the details there as i dont remember it exactly.

i am already ecfmg certified. the thing is though this name change will temporaily solve the problem, i am not understanding if I will have to go back and change all my ecfmg documents or at least my certificate.
