Hello friends...
I came across this forum only recently.. I was searching for some score threads and I landed up here! It was great to see your experiences, and it was helpful.
Here is my experience
I found the exam to be tough..It was as tough as the step 1 exam.
The main problem I had was with the 9hrs timing..It was really hard to concentrate in the last few blocks.. I found the questions to be as hard as u world. There are long questions - be ready for that.. There were some blocks were I just finished on time.. out of 8 - 3 blocks were tough...3 were okay..and one was easy. It's very similar to Uworld...
Be prepared be for a tough exam..Don't enter the center thinking it's going to be very easy.. The reason why people say it is easy is becoz the scoring seems to be easier..Once they get a good score...they forget those 9hrs!!
Many questions were vague... very close choices... UWORLD also had such questions so I was used to it..DOn't waste time re-reading the question many times!! The stress was on medicine.. had only 2-3 biostat qs.. i had good number from peds and O&G...but yes it's all about medicine.. I am hoping for 99...i would be disappointed if I dont get that..that was my aim...even though my exam was hard, I refuse to believe that I did it bad... .lets see the results ..
Study preperation:
I did Kaplan 05-06 notes and the videos... I did them very well..Used washington manual just for reference...didn't read the whole book..just referred when in doubt..
I joined for U world..and did it timed-topic wise pattern(Average score was 75)....75 on uworld is a very good score..but since I did them in a topic wise manner I don't know how predictive the score would be..I made notes and revised them...but didn't get time to do the wrong ones again. U world has the same design..so if you ve done Uworld..its gonna be the same experience
I didnt do qbook..i did just did 1 test from medicine got around 84%..found it to be easy...biased..
I did the usmle cd....did only 2 blocks..scores being 43 and 41...Thats too easy!!!don't think that the exam is going to be of that standard!
Didn't do kaptest
I think Uworld is the best resource..I think the whole forum agrees to this. I would recommend a 2 months subscription...

Dear Georgie..
Have my exam in 3 weeks..Have done kaplan notes twice for some subjects and thrice for medicine .. done with uw once and kaptest - half of it..
what would you advise me for the last weeks?
Should I revise UW again?
Please advise..

I think your prep is good. Revise all the notes and medicine books again.. it would be good if you could just scan thru the wrong ones on uworld..that would be great..I just did one block with the wrong items...i got only 80%...that means i forgot 20% of the new points...but anyway i didnt have time to complete them..That's the advantage of revising the wrong ones again..

ALso be mentally prepared for the 9hrs experience...just be prepared to face it...don't go into the hall tinking its gonna be easy!! Yes the scoring would be easy not the exam...thats what i feel
