Both are Restrictive lung diseases.

2a DLCO 90% this is normal value(so the problem should be out side the lungs) no problem with diffusion. This condition can be due to chest wall deformities.

2b DLCO 40% so should be due to lung pathology like interstitial lung disease.

Thats Right!
2a could be something like kyphoscoliosis or even morbid obesity.
(something OUTSIDE the lungs)

2b is Interstitial lung disease

What about MMFR? what does this mean to both of these diseases?
