The way you can retain most information is the best way to study. Can be just reading books, listening lectures or watching DVDs. For me, the most effective way is reading books while checking the answers of UW, but when I feel tired, I like watch video lectures.

I didn't like the pediatric videos , he is just reading the book.that's my opinion

Exactly. I don't think Kaplan get a very good teacher for Paediatrics.
