file case thru ecfmg. u wil anyways need a waiver of ur j1. dos petition is a big headache and u might not start ur residency on time. however atleast u wil have this job with u and can be continued in the worst case scenario of ur petition getting rejected and u can reapply next yr with a j1 waiver and go for an h1. if u leave the country then ur j1 clinical might get rejected as u have not fulfilled the 2yr home return requirement of 212e and also dont have a waiver. j1 research is probably the trickiest visa to be on. pm me and i could get u in touch with a couple of ppl who i know did it successfully. gl
