I have just realized that I need to take my step 2 CK before july to go for match next year. I am a full time student, finishing up my last year. I need some guidance regarding studying for step 2. I have the audios and the books, but I just dont know where to start from, what to do? I think I am wasting my time, cuz the information is not sticking in my head. Is there anyone out there, whoz well into their prep and can give some advic..
plzzzzzzzzzzzz i'll be truly GRATEFUL...

my suggestion
read the books(start with interns because requires longest commitment),make notices, listes audios-after each chapter;and do highlights +/- dvd kaplan, after you finish one book;after highlights do questions from qbank(use kaplan qbank-html,pdf) and add to your notices newer things; after that, read again all notices and go to the next book.
after you finish all, do usmle world online, kaplan online-add to your notices
than in the last month just review,your own notices, FA, pics and few simulations

I have a question now that you guys are talking about Matching for next year. I passed Step 1 and I need to know witch test and by when do I have to take it to get into the Match for next year. You said that you needed to pass by July the CK, but I heard that you need to have CK and CS by December. Now I'm confused.

you have right arivero; the math begins in september(not very sure); you have to apply as sooner as the math begins to have the bigest chances to go to many interviews;before to apply you will need step 1, 2 CK and skills;so you can apply even this year, after your latest exam has been reported;
(you know you can apply even without any steps-but nobody will call you)
somi786 can apply this year after he graduates; with the step 1,2ck,skills done; no need to hurry for the next year match!

I read kaplan lecture notes and FA, did UW, repeated wrong qs, last 2 weeks did stick to FA and last week did few qs.
kaplan videos are very good eventhough I didn´t use them.

Thankyou Danny and egomez for your suggestions. I was just so confused as to where to start. I am going to be rotating full time during my studying, is it possible for me to go thru all the audios as well do all of qbankd and usmleworld. Is it acheiveable if I start today and study 4 hours everyday till june. I have the books and the audios and I am going to get a hold of the qbank cd, Danny, I needed to ask you what are simulations? that you mentioned in your email.
My plan is going to be to start with a subject, finish it and than do the respective question from qbank and than move onto the next subject.
And once am done reading all i'll move on to usmleworld, and after that review and than with God's grace exam in june.
What do you guys think?
P.S Arivero, Danny is right, teh sooner u apply for match the better ur chances are to get more calls. To be able to go for next year, you need to pass your step 2 ck and cs by sept, actually have the results so you have the greatest chance of getting maximum calls.

i doubdt that you can find in qbank questions from a certain suject, they are all mixed from one book, or even from everything; if you want to to questions after each subject you need to work with pretest (i am startind with them); since you are planning to learn just 4 hr on a day, you will not have time to do to many qbanks; plan smart you time!! questions are consuming a lot of time
as simulations, you can consider : kaplan simulation, uw qbank online-looks like a as simulation, and prepare you with manageing of time, NBME, on line kaplan qbank;
do as many questions as you can; try to complete the subjects with aditional information regarding that subject from phisiology, pharmacoogy,pathology, immuno,etc
try to see the big picture in each subject; all the information from question, audio, video, that you are added to kaplan notes, put them at the same subject, so you can see the subject as o big picture, all information regarding one subject must be linked toghether
