I am an old IMG (graduated 1993), hard to remember things after reading. Now I have 4 wks more to go, and am trying to improve my scores. Trying to get more correct choices but feeling disappointed about Kaplan qbank, it is so tricky and detail. Today 2 Qbank (timed, unused) scores : 82 and 78. (the other days, sometimes I got 62 and 64, so frustrated)

Welcome to the forum, Where are you from? Did you study Medicine in English before? With such NBME score, you real score may be 230/93. Good luck.

Robin, Thanks for your reply. I studied Med with my own country language (non English) I am trying to beat NBME harder 2 wks later. Will post some of difficult concepts after reviewing. Do you have any comment for improving the scores? Best luck to you too, Robin

Kaplan Qbank is still tough for me, got 1, 70 and 1, 80. Wonder why does this happen? However, Ob/Gyn is ok. 6 Qs are all on the right choices !!! Oops. Psychiatry is quite unpredictable! Must start reviewing soon tomorrow.

huyniid, I will finish uw today and total score is only 59%. I will start q-bank but am planning to take it in test mode, e.g, 7-8 blocks in a row, along with my last reading with the notes. What do you think?

ALS, UW score 60% is not bad. I think UW is more exam oriented, cause it covers all of the topic. About Qbank, I tried 8 blocks in a row once, and it was so exhausted! Qbank is quite long, detail and some what eccentric. However, you should try once and see. Good luck

Feel that Ped is difficult to remember, with all of these genetic and met. stuffs. I tried to systemize and take some notes yesterday. Today there is no time.

good job huyniid! I should have a plan like yours, but looks like I need to go through everything. Took my NBME form 2 today only got 470. Then decided to postpone my test date one more week(March 31st is the day) which means I will be away from work for 7 weeks instead of 6 weeks. Hope my boss will not be mad at me Good luck with your study!

ALS@ Thanks for your encouragement! Dont be sad about the NBME. I think NBME is helpful for us to self-evaluate and find out our weak point, that is more important. You still have time to cover the stuff again. Yesterday, I could do only 65 pages of Ped, and I think I should read thoroughly on Immunization Section. I postponed 4 blocks of Qbank these 2 days due to lacking of time.

I have been busy recently so I cannot update and study much. Finish my Peds review, check Qbook blocks (76, 78 and 84%). Now I am reading explanation and will do Qbank tonight I feel I am out of my plan

It is ok not to fulfill the "plan" sometime. We do the best we can do. Don't be too hard on ourselves, that is what I told myself today. Tomorrow will be a better day!

Thanks Goodyear. You always give me good mood for completing my study Done with GYN, but I feel a little uncomfortable with Gyn endocrine and amenorrhea Dx steps. 2 block Qbank, only 62% and 70%. Lengthy and distracted ! Will move to Stat and Preventive Med then go to the most important IM section
