ah! i remember this one. was intrigued by it. try google for answers. from what i understand increased intra-esophageal pressure results in m-w syndrome.
btw, looks like there are always a few questions on alternative systems of medicine. this is perhaps not as much emphasized in the medical curriculum outside the US.
