yup ankylo-50 percent of people are still scoring 217 which was previously 88-same was the situtaion last year 217 mean and 23 sd

99 is coming down each year-1st they used it to lower by 1 or 2-this time they have jumped by 8-
and it cant be possible that 4 prople who have posted their scores ,taking exam in different regions of world have difficult exam

I just took one look at my score report again. I think I have made a misinterpretation. What it actually says is "For recent administrations, the mean and SD for first time examinees from US and Canadian med schools are approximately 217 and 23 respectively." In that case it doesn't give the exact mean or SD for one particular test.

Dinie,thanks for your long post and congradualations on scoring 99.I am also a IMG,did ,my MS in OBGYN in 1990,from my home country ,India,was doing private practice since than. My husband moved here 4 yrs back and i have recently joined him . I have also graduated long back and have started studying for Step 1. Does not know how to begin, and very depressed whether I can make it or not?at present I have started by watching Kaplan CD. please suggest how to proceed.

nice! so does it mean that the exams will be more difficult than before and scoring a 99 would require less marks
