I was yesterday browsing through usmle.net forum and I read something which I want you people to verify.
There was a guy who had given step 2 and 3 several times and he has posted in some posts that you can tell if you failed or passed the exam before hand.
He said that the prometric center gives you a letter at the end of the exam which says that you appeared in the exam and finished it.
he says that if the letter which is handed over to you and it says ::
"" your session for usmle step 2 ck has ended "" it means you failed the test.
But if says that :
"YOUR SESSION FOR USMLE STEP 2 IS COMPLETE " it means you passed the test.
According to that guy he says that the computer has already generated the score and that is why it gives this kind of message.
He was giving step 3 and was saying that it had also happened to him in step 3 too.some people in forum verified and others said that it is rubbish.
I recently went through step 2 ck.The exam was like hell .It was extremely tough and diificult for me.I was not expecting that the test would be so hard.
I am so much worried after reading this post.
can anybody including biker doc or any body else who has given the exam check what their letter says.
I just want to verify if it is truth or it is rubbish to make other people worried.
please check your letters ,who have given exam and not got result and thiose who did get result....

can anybody please check their letter and tell me what they have on it.Mine says ended and I am having sleepless nights after the exam.
I just want to make sure what other people get it.
Biker Doc you recently cleared can you look up in your letter got after the exam

Well man your post really scared me as my step 2 ck completion report which prometric gave also showed"your session ended" so I searched for my step 1 report which prometric gave and it also showed "your session ended"
Guess what ,my score was 99( 247) in step 1 even with this remark so I will say to get "ended" was not bad at all.well I don’t know my step2 ck result but hopeful to get it by next week .
So I think all what you read was a bull shit. Also get some sleep, if difficulty in getting it take some serotonin injections.

Guys remember that in psychology and in stress situations your so called "friends" most likely will increase your anxiety. In fact they may even throw in a cruel joke..

After the day of your exam... take your dog for a walk in the park... and then watch your dog take a shit on the grass, if it land in the shape of a 'P' then you passed.... and if it lands in the shape of an 'F' then ..... I am sorry to say.... you have failed.
What a load of bull...

ACtually, when you come out of the prometric centre and you see big fluffy white clouds in the sky, it means you passed. If there are no clouds in the sky, it's a sure sign that you failed.

Ridiculous waste of time....maybe you want to try seeing tea leave in your tea next time.....wow what people will listen too when their ass is on fire...lol.....difficult to beleive that we can become doctors if we trust all this stupid stuff......besides its prudent to know a little about the way your exams are scored before writing such imbecile stuff on forums where people actually discuss useful information. USMLE scores are a percentile NOT number correct or wrong....that means its actually a statistical analysis of a large number of tests taken during the period of your test taking and matching you candidates over the same period of time....there is no way a computer can do that right away.......the 4-6 weeks ECFMG takes to report your score is not so that they can watch you squirm...while they scream in delight.....its for a reason.....

Here is the magic that you can get high score. Stop listenning to those rumors, stop surfing on the internet trying to find out what other people are doing. The magic is in your study room, study, study, and study. In the end, you hard work will be paid off.

Hi friendas
I just took step 2 CK on march 2(2 days ago).I am feeling exactily as all of us after this streesful event.I could not sleep well etc,etc,I took some diazepan to stop my mind of remembering the questions all the time disturbing my sleeping.I was depressed this afternoon ,but, I laugthed,and laugthed ,I could not stop.Do you know Why?Its because the test that someone posted about the shape of our dog pupu.I will try this test to antecipate if I passed or not.I also enjoyed the idea to look the clounds in the sky.What a pit I had not read this post before.Anyway,guys,I understand the good sense of humor of our collegues around the world.I could relax and laugth a lot for the first time after the exam.I also enjoyed the idea of taking some serotonin injections.I am strongly considering this.(I am kidding!!):

My certificate read "session has ended" and I ended up with a passing score so...the rumor is total BS!
