I am in the U Stated and I have a slot offer. They sponsor my J1 and I do not want to fly back home to the Embassy. Is there any chance of getting the visa keep staying in the US. I appreciate any idearaised eyebrow

Staying in the country for your J1 visa means that it might take longer to receive. My legal department recommends that applicants return to their home country.

you will need to download and fill out form I-539 from www.uscis.gov website, and enclose all supporting documents requested with it. Do read the instructions. It will have the address to mail it to.

You will need to apply at least 3-4 months in advance.

Yeah, It takes more than 3 months. Check timetable at www.USCIS.gov
