hi all, iam a new entrant. i recently took my step 1 exams. Can anyone tell me 'how many Qs that appear in the boards r the so called EXPERIMENTAL Qs which r not valued'?

Hey madras !
Even I wonder, how many experimental Q's would be there? I took my exam Jan 16th, How did your exam go?
Im very scared about my result, should be getting it this week. I guess its not that all experimental Q's should be tougher, they can be easy too !! We never know them, but its silly to add such Q's in an exam!

hey, i was just thinking. why do they give us so many experimental questions. come on, it is not like 8 hours of test is a fun thing to do. they should give out max of 10 questions. and that is it. they have been giving out the same exams for so many years, they should have enough questions.

Imagine if 50 are experimental, than 350- 50= 300, and now 300/7= 43. If you want above 90% , you should score around 220, so 220/7=32.
I don't think if one commits around 18 mistakes and still scores near 90% !!!
In my exam, couple of blocks Im sure of scoring 40 plus !! So, will I reach more than 90% ??? Only god knows now !!!

Hey ea..I am absolutely agree with you.I was also counting tha same way..but I have no hope to get more than 35-37 in my 2 blocks,which I done the best.But anything more than 210 will be fine for me.I had exam at 23rd Jan...I think your OASIS should have updated...I thought tomorrow I should hceck my OASIS..so that means it will take one week more for me?plz write how much you got...I wish you very good luck for your score and also wish that most of questions that you got wrong would be from those 50 that don't count  thanks and good luck.
