in fact i couldn't understand the q

shaking head

If the arterial pressure of an organ is increased but venous pressure isn't changed what happens if the arterial elasticity increases??

a) cardiac output increaes, resistance doesn't change
b) cardiac output and the resistance increase
c) resistance decreases,cardiac output doesn't change
d) resistance increases,cardiac output doesn't change

can anyone explain me the answer please?

well, it's like in lungs - arteries are very compliant and represent very low resistance circuit
so, having increase in elasticity you increase compliance and decrease resistance
so B and D are out
if you increase BP (MAP), but decrease resistance (TPR), CO MUST go up (no such option)
in increased MAP either CO or TPR must go up
it's not TPR for sure - increased compliance will hide increase in pressure so we are left with only one choice - A
this is my reasoning
tell me if i am mistaken at any point

oh now i got it nod
yes the answer is A
and thanks for the explanation..
