As I know you cannot take exam when you are still student and give an Address in Iran,
Seniors,am I true?

hi
yup,when you are studying your address is your university in iran.so even if you give an address somewhere out of iran it's going to be revealed,that's exactly why i'm still waiting,and you guys didn't answer my q aout if it is neccessary to study stagg of cancers,they are detailed in blueprint surgery but not in kaplan,

well, I'm shahab, have been garad. 2 month ago, studing step 2, planning to take it on June, wish to get 99.
hope Dr. Shohreh and all Iranians get most top grades and positions in US.

There's nothing wrong with your address being Iran, as long as you are a student who has covered the first two years of med school you can sit for step 1. but not 2...

4 days later after the exam you will feel free and will have enogh time to spend with your family.Just relax .It is an exam like all other exams which you passed.Take every Q as a puzzle and enjoy of answering to it.Do not bother yourself by thinking to result.you tryed as much as you could .

wellcome here shahab,wish you can get a double 99,and nima,how do you do,seems coming back alive from emergency medicine?am I right?
If anybody knows about staging of cancers in step 2,is it really neded to study stagings,come on guys ,please help me,i really have difficulty with them,till now i haven't studied them and skipped o another part,they are just in blueprint surgery and kaplan dosn't have a word about them

As I said before I'm a graduate of 2000 and I'm really confused & worried about the rate of success for a person like me in matching. Some say that there is a very little (maybe NO) hope for IMGs who are graduated more than 5 years ago to be matched in spite of good scores but the others say that more than this gap can be accepted in case of getting good scores in exams. Can anyone here clarify this subject without giving false hope, please?
In case of failure in Match, how will be the situation to enter research field instead of clinical work for this group of IMGS? (I personally prefer this to deal with patients)
Your help would be really appreciated

Why are you speaking so disappointing!?
There is NOT any rule to say IMG who is a 5year graduate or more is not qualified for matching!! Could you tell me from where have you heard this?
it can be a negative score but not a definite factor at all,
I know many IMGs who have been matched after 10 years of their graduation date or more,
come on and take it easy guy,

I have read these stuff in different forums even here. Actually, I had a bad experience about PLAB test wasting my time for IELTS & PlAB exams but after all these efforts & going to UK, their system & rules were changed thoroughly and you can guess the result. So now I kinda have PTSD! And this time I want to be relatively sure about the situation (although the previous time I performed my search but I was unlucky).
I've also heard about some IMGs who have been matched in spite of having several years gap after their graduation but I'm not sure about their condition before that: having any papers? or good connections in US? etc.

Dear Avesta you are completely right about UK,
but USMLE has been performed for several years,
although it is not very easy to take a residency match in US, it has been completely possible for all to have a position if they only want to have,
It is not a new curriculum that goes under change,
It is a longterm process from our 2 last generations since then,

i am going to take step 2 about 2 month later.but when ever i think about getting visa for cs ,i can 't continue any more because i don't know any iranin who could get it .Do you know anything about the cahnce of getting visa for Cs?

hey my friends
sorry for late ,i came to iran just the day after my exam to visit my family and i didn't have access to internet these days...
thanks a lot sanam and magaholding for your support..oh y god my exam was crazy ,i think exept 4-5 qs per block all of them were experimental qs
most of my answeres were my best geuss...but something important was that :sitting infront of the campure (the old one that the page was not goood) for 8 ours is very horribble ,my brain was stoped after the 4th block ,so please practice to do this in your house,,,i coulden't do this because of the baby....
most of my qs were pathophisio....i have just 2-3 qs from emberyo,biochemistry was hard and pharma was not stright foreward at alllll....all the qs of anatomy ws the cross section of the brain to find out the site of the injury of for example loss of vibration,tempreture,paresy and...
so i just pray and i hope to pass it,if you asked me about how hard it was,i realy don't know even it was hard or easy and i don't know how i did
i don't know if it happened to otheres or not but i am so confused ...
by the way it finished finally
does any body know wich book is better for step2ck?

It happened to me either.after the exam i was so confused and i couldn't remember the Qs to check them.but totally i felt good.and i passed.
About step 2 after searching alot for the best resources,i studied kap notes and watched kap video.Althogh lots of people do not suggest FA for step 2 i think it is good .Crush or USMLE secrete is recommended strongly.
