too silent these days
wll i'm studying surgery and ped,from kap note books 2002 and blue prints,difficult to adjust them,wanna bye 2005-6 kap notes and video lecture but they are 2002 in teymoor zade and i'm afraid having bought them,i find newer edition they are 9 dvds 275000 tomans,

Do NBME Qs available on site (that we have to buy!) have answers or not? I heard from a friend that there is no answer and we have to find the answers ourselves.

hi
i need your help..
i did another nbme downloaded form but i got again 50%correct...
i am very tired ..as i read more i couldn't get better score...
i am realy tired in these last days...i just need 5 more qs correct in each block to feel pass...please help me out....

I belive that you know what is the best for yourself and finally you decide what to do but
Let me to be honest with you.If you feel that you are not ready for the exam don,t afraid to post pone it.Then you will have a little bit more time to find your problems .i know after a long time studying every body wants to finish ASAP but studying a little bit more let you to take exam with much more self confidence .

HI Friends:
I need your expert opinion, if any of you knows something about that. I am a graduate of 1994, and recently I have heared that there is a little chance for old IMGs to be matched, even for those who have scores above 90. Does anyone of you know something reliable about that?
For Shohreh:
I am agree with sanam. It is better to pospone your exam if you are not sure that you'll pass.

i postponed it onetimes because of my delivery and now i have to face it
i do not do bad in uw(55%)
but in nbmes i am not sure about it....
so i will go to take it in 18 days later
i am just keep going and try hard...
hediye..i think it is not true...because i know somebody that 15 years after graduation ,with low scores(around 76),doing residancy here,but i know that she worked in these years as a volenteer in hospitals and got a very good LOR from her future profesor...so it is doable.....

Salam be hamegi,
This is my first post in this beautiful forum, esp. dear Iranian IMGs' topic,
I am a 2004 medicine graduate from TUMS(Tehran University of Medical Science),
I have a long story trying to study for abroad,
Studying 2 years French and then sudden policies of France government about IMGs esp. Middle-Easterns, followed another year to study German(!) and it is impossible now to get job Visa for non-European employees esp. doctors, persuaded me at last to start the ECFMG certification way toward U.S.
Finally I began studying for USMLE step1 first few months ago,
I should say I am so glad to see Iranians in this forum can be in touch via net and help each other.
I have been an upper-mediate student at university and I am enjoying studying clinically-based BASIC SCIENCE through my way of USMLE STEP1,
I have been an observer in this forum through last months and hope success for all Iranians and IMGs here (esp. Shohreh who is going to battle the 1st step in few days and so on)
I have a lot of questions that will ask topic Elites and Seniors and hope those Qs be helpful,
I hope can be useful member as a graduate who has performed his official commitment and has his Medical Diploma in hand... And certainly is going to do the STEPS willingly...
It is quite enough for introduction...!

wellcome here,i'm a intern i tehran university of medical sciences and studying for step 2 ck,havn't passed step 1 yet,since with all of thesse calls it's really difficult to study,i'm still in the middle but hope be ready in 7 months,will be gradutede in 4 month,

Welcome to the forum. So you can speak French, German and English? Wow! Also an upper mediate student of Tehran University! Wish you the best and goodluck , if you decide to take USMLE steps, think about how you want to get a US visa first. Also do it as soon as possible because if you'll be a graduate of more than 5 years old, it will be more difficult for you to be matched ( like me)
Anyways, wish you the best. I think a supersmart person like you could be very successful in the future if you'll have a decent plan.

wish you can pass steps successfully,and i believe all iranian can get marks above 95 and ven 99 cause they are cleverer than other people

actually,i haven't passed any steps,cause i'm still in iran and my adress can't be tehran university and chicago at the same time ,ii will have finshed my studying by the end of isfand,and i'm going to make my tarh free,which i think costs me 10 million tomans,about sarbazi,well,since in iran they don't ask girls to join the artesh i don't think i gonna have a problem with it unless they change teir idea in thses 4 months and in that case i will be very bad luck,
i hope you can get double 99,since i have planned for mine

I am very impressed to see how supportive you guys are!
am looking for a study partner for the CS exam, is there anybody having the same in mind please send me a pm. I live in Seattle and exam is mid Dec. but might postpone to Jan.
I have clread step1 and 2 ck and looking for a way to get into this system,for someone with no pary in this country and negative feedback from successful Iranian doc, what advice would you have ?
