Hi everybody. can anyone tell me what is the difference between meiosis and mitosis?

you can write a booklet on this -but briefly in mitosis the result is two identical daughter cells and in meiosis you go from the diploid number of chromosomes to the haploid number The terms are the same
prophase-condensation of chromosomes
metaphase -they go to equatorial plate
anaphase-chromotids move to opposite poles
telophase-cytokinesis is completed/reformation of the nucleus
