I've just passed step 2cs on Feb,1. Big relief. I'm planning to apply for usmle step 3 but I don't understand application process in some points. 1. Which States should I apply for? I am IMG. My sister lives in California. My boyfriend lives in OHIO. If I want to take the exam in OHIO. Which states should I apply for? California or Connecticut? I've read from some topics about CA and CT. I meet the minimum requirement for both of this states. ( Because they don't want anything much compared to other states). 2. What is a notary public? I know maybe this is a silly question. Somebody advice that you have to send a CID stamped by a notary public. How can I find a notary public in my homecountry? Thank you very much in advance. I am a newbie for this forum. Nice to meet you all.

1. Apply for CT on line and send CID form to them. You can apply from all over country and sit for exam in all places that prometric center provide for exam. No need to be in CT for Step 3 if you apply to CT licensing board. 2. Notary public is someone who authenticate your signature. you should sign CID in front of Notary Public. Banks and some hospital provide this service. It costs $ 10-20 and sometimes without any charges. In your homecontry, US Embassy, Foreign Affairs Ainistry and some translational office should provide this service.
