Hi,
This is my first entry in this forum.
My exam will be on the 7th of May! I hope these entries will support my motivation and increase the h of studying
I started to learn in december, kept learning in january for two weeks then I had stop due to moving to another flat.
But here I go again.
Started today with Cardiovascular in FA.I already repeated the first 200 p of FA. Today I did 60 questions on UW.
Not very good so i have to study harder!!
Goal for tomorrow: finishing cv chapter and repeating it!! 50 UWq.

Welcome !
i am also planing to take Exam in May. and also doing UWQ. how long it takes you to read all question with explantion........to me it takes really longgggggggg I am doing 50q/day. and reading goljan patho...
The people of this forum are really helpful and sweet just keep writing your progress and stay in touch.
we all need motivation so lets motivate eachother.

You are right, it takes me also very long to read the explanations, though I try to focus on the Educational objective.but still i am slow
i am also doing BSR Patho. Are you doing the kaplan books as well?
My strategy is FA, BSR Patho, HY Mirobio and Rapid Review Biochem.
I hope thats enough!

Yes i am using kaplan notes for all except patho and anatomy(using HY)but for neuro both kaplan and HY.How is rapid review bio????? why u are not using goljan patho just wondering . you know what my buddy tells me abt UWQ (as he already passed exam) give 5 good reading to it  so let see i am still on first .

BSR was an advice of a friend who already studied for Step 1.
Rapid Review is on the way to me so I can tell you after the arrival.
AMTH when exactly is your exam??
Can tell that I achieved yesterdays goal, though I got confused with all the heart diseases at th end, i think it was lack of concentration
2day ill do Endo,repeat my notes from UWq and do 50 UWq.

i am also reading GI 2marrow and then i,ll go for hematology.are you following SET PLAN i mean STUDY PLANNER? what do you think how many reading before exam is good enough?

@ amth yes, I did a plan and I am trying to achieve the daily targets.
I hope it will continue like this, studying at least 6 h a day (i am going to have classes again in march) , doing a lot of questions and repeating.
The next important thing I am gonna do is to buy a MP3 player and speak FA on it. and listening to it, while repeating FA.

@ lena: no , i am working 2-3 d a week at a pulmologists office. I am living in Vienna, Austria. (Europe)
rome; a studyplanner is just a simple plan, you write or draw on a paper, planning how much and what chapters you are going to do.
Yeah, I can tell you, that I am achieving my daily goals but yesterday I was just desprerate! I am finishing now my very first reading of FA, though i did it very exactly with lots of questions..and, the next thing is, FA is full of material that I already learned, I am a 5th year student ( in Austria medicine is 6 y) . still , at the moment, I am just wondering how i will be able to manage and to pass this test with good scores.
though it was MY decision to do it, so i stop complaining now and will sit down to have a wonderful 9h study day (at least).

So I achieved my daily goals and am positive that if I keep this pace I will be able to do it,
finished Neuro and renal yesterday.
today i will do questions and finish reproductive + pulmo

thx lena,
its feb 21, 75 days to go, I still achieve my daily goals as university hasnt started yet.
today I will do 100 p on BRS patho, first read, though a lot of the content is familiar to me.
I also finished already the half of UWq bank, more false than right, but as I already said, its the first read and I am using it as a learning tool.
thought I will do NMBE test a month and a week before the test to see where i stand.
It wouldn make a lot of senes to do the firt one now, I think I would know probably not more than 50 %.

Hi,
did half of BRS Patho, wanted to finsh it this Wknd but forgot the book at my parents so today I started RR Biochem. Its good. will see how many pages I achieve today. 50 is the goal. am at 48 now

finished BRS and RR. Started Microbio yesterday and its so hard. So many bacterias and virus. Awful, though i will do at least 50 UWq today to force my determination.

hi sasa07,just went through your journal and realised we are sitting for the exam at the same period, just wanted to encourage you,just started going thru uw questions myself and i must say, they are a nice way of reinforcing knowledge, especially tiny details we might not have taken note on.keep it up

Started FA 2nd read 2day. 59 d to go, did 60 % of UWq already! Decided, that this weekend it will be the last that I will go out and party. otherwise it won't work!! DISCIPLINE and FOCUS!!! no distraction!

7 weeks to go. I KNOW that i already gained a lot of knowledge but its not enough yet!!!
Start with 3rd read of BRS Patho 2day. 33 % of UWq are left, should be finished by thursday max.

I will be appearing for the exam a week before you, ,I like your dairy and hope that we both get great marks.I am using goljan for Patho, you are not. Tell me are you doing USMLE WORLD along with q bank?cause I am doing it that way.do let me know, and good luck.
