Transgenic mouse with defect in B2 microglobulin gene. What is the immuno defect?

  #2

CD8+ cells associated= cell mediated immunity

  #3

beta-2 microglobulin is a component of the MHC 1 receptor, so there will be a cytotoxic cell defect( viral, fungal infections, malignancies, delayed hypersentivity)....

  #4

Exactly, Meg: beta2-microblobulin --> MHC I deficiency. Autosomal recessive transmission, typically presents with upper respiratory infections. No evidence of humoral defect.
