u should be ECFMG certified which means after step 1/2/CS....the longer the better usually programs ask for minimum 3 months...

me too, I planning to take step1 in april/may and that means I ll have the pass score record in at least 1 month. I viewed ur post about USCE.... It is really helfull and thank u alot for ur concern, mina
step 1 is the mandatory requisition for most applications. I am 6th med stud now, and am aiming for the externship or any of that stuff this august. And that means I have to apply for the programs with step1 score on hand in MAY????? How can we manage the time stuff??

there are still many programs who don't need the step 1 score...go for them..and also write to the program directors..explain the situation..although they're pretty tough
We have our own kinda problem in Iran...which is really unique!!!No med school Dean would ever release any transcript or letter recommending you to anyone...do you believe this?? you should only know the dean personally to do this FAVOR for you!!!I even asked if I can show some LOR's from the doctors I've worked with ,but they didn't accept...

So forevergood expand your search and send Email...thank god This one is for freewinkunlike people in our university they DO understand something sometimes...
disapprovalconfused
