apply to aprogram that you realy like to work in based on your previos medical experiences, you have to be able to sell yourself to program directors, also community hospitals might be a better idea vs. university hospitals. work on your Cv , work on your strong points, show them your strong points , for example if you want to apply to internal medicine go and do some volentership job in hospitals in IM wards and get aletter , do obsercership . try to publish some papers in the same field , it is not a short wayit may take some 6 M. but you will defenetly get aresidency. Good luck

I wrote this to another person, and it's really what I believe: Your chances are not good at any hospital (I would say not at the most competitive ones), but I am sure you'll have a residency opportunity if you knock on the right doors. Research well, check the minimum score pass/years after graduation requirements, and go for it. If there's a place you really like, apply for it even if you are not exactly what they say they want. Once you have an interview, you'll have the chance to make up for your scores. You are not a walking number, but an experienced professional. You have a lot to offer if they only give you a chance. They have to know that, you are the one to tell it. I would be optimist. I've seen people failing many attempts on the tests, working as technicians, phlebotomists, studying and trying again, and today are already good doctors working in USA. Everything is possible, trust yourself and whatever Big Power you believe may help you. Nothing is easy. But the most difficult tasks bring the greatest rewards. Good luck!
