hi all

i have been a silent observer of this forum for almost an year now ..
and i love this place and it is awesome place !!!

my study resources -- USMLE world
csprotocol.blogspot.com
first aid is a bit on the exhaustive side ..

digital_doc is an amazing guy ... and i owe my recent success of CS to him...
i sincerely urge all of u to read every bit of his site before you give CS ...

my advices ...
15 days for cs may be managable ..but take atleast a month ...
it is not worth it to slog it out in 15days ...

age old paradigm ... practise practise ...

patient note has been a recent weak point and i have known few guys having trouble with it ... dont neglect it ... it is a definite achilis heel ...!!

plan u r travel to perfection ! ..dont forget u r passport .... u already have 101 things to worry about the exam ..dont let travel plans to be among them ...

go to the exam hall early ...settle down

take a lot of food ... cookies ... anything u like

no digital watches ... absolute plain analog wathces only

if u spoil any of the cases ...learn how to forget it and move to the next case ... THis is very very critical....
Dont let the previous case influence ..either good or bad ....
u have enough time to brood over the cases once the exam is over ..

patient note ... practise well ... u wont have enough time to write everything ...

Dont bother if u forget anything ...no one who hs EVER passed CS has completely done everything right ...

well .... the most important ... Trust yourself ... be very confident ... there are no set rules for CS ... u have to do develop a protocol for yourself ... master that protocol .... and go for it ....

don't follow u r friend's protocol .. it will NEVER work for u ....

No one knows what is the best ... even i dont know ... Just because i passed, that does not mean I am god of CS ...
Trust yourself !!

Confidence is the key ... If u make a mistake .... cover it elegantly ...if it is a gross mistake accept it ... Dont worry u will not fail ... Elegance is important ....

one more thing ... You a doctor !! be a doctor there .. not an examinee ...
show true compassion for the patient .... this will always work .... feel for him/her ....
They are actors .. u be a better actor ...!!!!

Dont panic .. if u get a case that u are not prepared for .... just do the basic PAMHUGSFOSS .. a bit of physical ... a bit of everything ....
that is it ...

15 minutes ..u cannot diagnose a case ....it is impossible and dont even try to do it ... get down to DD that is it !

After the exam ... leave it forget it and do more important things than worry about it ....
it is one of the unpredictable exams ... u never know who will pass or who wont ...

Pray God ... that is the ultimate ...

BEST OF LUCK ...
Lets all test our luck ,

have fun !!
