I'm IMG, going to prep for step1, just wonder whether Kaplan Home Prep program will be detailed enough to cover all the tested area. or they give the outlines only? Do I need to buy books in Anatomy, pathology ,etc.. separately?
Your advice is highly appreciated!!!

hi... are you referring to the Kaplan Home study Kit worth $499? I got that one. It's not just an outline only... I think it gives very good detail of what you should just remember. I make the Kaplan homestudy my guide... i just follow all the topics there... if i don't understand... that's the time I refer to other books like Lippincot, etc. Studying Lippincot and seperate books are very lengthy. The Kaplan notes will give you an idea of what you need to remember. Good luck:-)

I picked it over the webprep because I'm more used to doing homestudy. It has 2 volumes of thick books, Q book and simulated CD. All I can say is that I think I'm happy with it. I used it as my guide... if there is something I don't understand in it... that's the time I back it with other resources like Lippincot for biochem... websites, etc. It's up to a person anyway wether the expalanation in the book is clear or not. Some said webprep is the best... but some still fails even if they enrolled in webprep.
