Dear colleagues
I will hopefully apply for the next 2008 match, and I wanted to clearify one point...
When the program demands the applicant should be a graduate within the past 5 years, is it till the time when he submits the application or till the date when the match results are out
I mean, I graduated in December 2002, when I apply for the 2008 match, will I be considered as a graduate within the past 5 years or not?

It is from the time you graduate until when you submit your application which would be 2007 in your case. therefore you are just at 5yrs. this is from what i understand.

I'm going to disagree here. Different program directors are going to think different things. Some will say it's from when an applicant graduates until they start residency training, some will say from graduation to the point of application.

You will need to email all the programs you are interested in, or better call them to ask if you meet their requirements.
