I've been getting a few questions as to the differences between these two exams so just wanted to say a few things: For QE-1 the first half is like EE ,multiple choice questions, but with a greater focus on managements and "next best steps". For the second half, it will be a written assesment, concentrate on the list of differential diagnosis' and the labs in Toronto Notes, especially the ORDER in which to order the lab investigations so that u avoid any unnecessary investigations. The family med. chapter in Toronto Notes is really good for DD, u'll find good differentials for all the common conditions. It's a good idea to know the next 3 or 4 next steps in management of common conditions as well.
