My credentials were received from my medical school by ECFMG on January 5. I have been calling ECFMG and they say the translation was supposed to be received on January 30, but now they don't give me information about whether it is ready or not. My verification is still pending. They say that they process files in the order received, it doesn't matter if you need your certificate now or for next year.
The program directors told me during the interviews that I had good chances but if my certificate didn't arrive, they would not put me in the list on February 21.
Has anybody been in this situation? Is it true that ECFMG doesn't care if we miss everthing just for a few days? I'm afraid that my certificate will arrive just a few days after the deadline.
Please, if anybody has a suggestion, let me knos. I have called ECFMG frequently. They say that they do not expedite the verification of credentials for any reason and that I just have to wait.
