it is true about ATP, but if you want to calculate total ATP in Glycolysis don't forget substrate phosphorilation which will give you 2 more ATPs/pyruvate 1 Glu = 2 Pyr + 2*2 ATP + 2 NADH = 2*12 ATP + 4 ATP + 6 ATP = 24+10= 34 ATP per Glucose (aerobic glycolysis and Krebs) but think i lost a couple of ATPs i thought it should be 36....hmmm

36 or 38 ATPS depends upon shuttles..... 1-glucose........2pyruvate.........2NADH...SHUTTLES...SO 2MULTIPY 3=6PLUS 2ATP=8ATPS 2-2PYRUVATE....2ACETYLCOA...2NADH....SO 2MULTIPLY 3=6 ATPS 3.2ACETYLCOA....4CO2......6NADH=6MULTY 3=18..PLUS2FADH2 PLUS 2GTP =24ATPS...SO 4.TOTAL......36MOLES OF ATP ARE PRODUCED IF THE glycerol phosphate shuttle is used. 5.38 MOLES if the malate asparate shuttle is used,.....i read all this information in BRS BOOK.very easy describe there.please correct me.will help for us.
