A FEW UNIVERSITIES/HOSPITALS PUT UP THE VACANT POSITIONS ON THE WEBSITES, YOU CAN ALSO CONTACT THE FACULTIES INVOLVED IN RESEARCH, A FEW OF MY FRIENDS DID NONPAID JOBS & AFTER 6 MONTHS ONE WAS HIRED. PAID OR NONPAID RESERACH HELPS IN GETTING GOOD LOR's & IF LUCKY A FEW PUBLICATIONS.

as i said before,

you have to do self seaRCH, writing e-mails to doctors in Univer near ur place, where u stay or if you are in india, then job of finiding a reasrch position is tougher. But I did it the same way. you can do it too.

voluntary research can be done on b1/b2 but if you want to be paid, you can do it on j1 or h1 visa. it depends on the university offering you the research. A few sponsor H1 A few sponsor J1. In case you happend to be having a green card?citizenship then half of your problems are solved.
