could anybuddy explain....generation of ATP by glycolysis TOTAL Atp.thanks

  #2

i did all that math few times and keep forgeting.
Do you think it's important for the test?

  #3

its been tested before, do you want to take that risk, save it for a couple days before so you dont forget.

  #4

please explain to me...my friends told me that this i s important .

  #5

Best thing you can do is open up a book and look at where the ATP is generated in each of the steps of glycolysis, citric acid cycle, electron transport.

  #6

36-38

1)24 - cac

2)+glucose to pyruvate via aer. glycolysis (2 ATP + 2 NADH via electrone transport chain either 4 or 6 ATPs - depend on shuttle- glycerol phosphate or malate-aspartate) - 6 or 8

3)+pyruvate to acetyl-coA by pyruvate dehydrogenase - 6

TOTAL - 36-38
