hi every1..i am confused about how the match works..for example there is a program that i really like but its competitive n i rank it no. 1..and then there is another program which really likes me and i rank it no. 3...so wat happens then?if i didnt match at my first option will i match at my 3rd even if they ranked me high but i didnt rank them 1?will i get matched or sum1 who was lower on their rank list but ranked them no.1?if this is the case i might end up losing both right or does it work sum other way...i cudnt figure out from the nrmp site..thanks

it goes like this
they go to ur first choice and check their list. if you are there on the list high enough u will match there. if not they go to next program.

so now its ur choice number 3, and u are their top choice so even though there are people who have ranked it 1. u will be given precedence as you are ranked higher in their list.

i hope it clears ur doubt. check nrmp.org. they ahve good schema for this
