i am about to say WBC, but i feel that there might be a condition that is not infectious that cause increase in Neu...thought segs are increase in infections

What about A ? I thought fever was the most prominent manifestation of the acute phase response due to infection (>38 degree celcius)
Increased WBC count with slight shift to left can occur in other situations too  , right ?
