how can we distinguish between cardiogenic and noncardiogenic pulmonary edema?

  #2

In both there is dyspnea associated with the signs of the cause, respiratory or cardiac.
On Chest X ray, look for Kerley B lines in Left heart failure and cardiomegaly.
Histology, look for Hemosiderin Laden cells or '' Heart failure cells''.
