If I renewed my UW AGAIN, I am afraid that even the UW people will laugh at mesmiling face Since I was working full time till 4 weeks ago, I had a super long experience with UW, 3 months subscription the first time, then renewed one month, then renewed another month, can you imagine, 5 months total! Just cannot do it anymore. I made a full note along the way, so it is expires, it is expires.

Robin, you are right, we all need motivation, I will try to write down my progression too from today. Got to go my jogging nowsmiling face

Wow, 5 months of UW, you master it already, no need to do again.

Do FA and your weak areas.

Good luck.

I wish I mastered it already. The lenght of 5 months indicates that I was soooo slow in studying when I was working full time sad

Anyway, today I am having a very good start. So far jogged 2 mlies, reviewed 50 Qs on UW(I also make short notes on FA and review the corresponding section on FA, I will use FA as my final review during the very last a few days).

Will send my daily review report after I am done today, plan to review another 200Qs!

  #105

I don't think my experience will help you because I only do one block questions a day. Most time I spend my time on review materials because I find out if I don't understand the concept and mechanism of that disease, I will get wroing answer again on UW questions. I can't just memorize the information from UW. Since I haven't book CK yet, I still focus on reading instead of questions.
Happy study!

Finished Dermatology in FA, did 50 qs, scored 90%.

Now read some explanations and then will read Neurology in FA.

I only did 125 Qs but did review some FA sections, plus made some notes on it. Looks like I will have a lot to review during the last a few days.

My brain started to reject the Qs now, have to stop.

Tomorrow 200Qs.

Good speed ALS

Just finished Neurology in FA and did 46 qs

  #112

Thanks Robin. You are so productive as always!

When I did those UW Qs, felt like some of them I never seen them before. It has been too long and I had to use some reference book. Anyway, I am doing the best I can, and I don't want to /cannot reschedule this exam.

21 days to go!

  #113

Today I did: Dermatology, Neurology in FA, 125 qs.

Tomorrow: Ped in FA.

Go to bed now.

Robin@ that is ok, you are doing great now. The score is not as much as your knowledge, believe that. I also score Cardio 76% 2nd time UW after reading. But I think I know the concepts clearer.

From now on I will not depend on my score until my NBME2 next week

Good luck

  #117

I did NBME 2 already, scored 610, got asterisk for psychiatry and mental disorder (below borderline when I did NBME1), but other filed like musculoskeletal and neurology went down.madmad

That is an excellent score on NBME, robin. Congrates!

Today is not a good day for me. I have been not studying well(feel restless). Had less than 50 Qs done. Try to do more Qs tonight.

  #119

Finished Ped in FA, now do qs

So tired now.

I started to "settle down" this evening and did 2x 50Qs on Qbank. Now started to read the explainations..

  #121

robin,

How long do you think it will take to go over Kaplan note IM once? I definitely need to do that before my exam..

Thanks.

  #122

How long do you think it will take to go over Kaplan note IM once? 2 days are enough if you are near the exam, skip info you have mastered.

I will do IM the second time after I next week.

I have just read all Kaplan materials once, but FA thrice, my own notes twice.

Yesterday I lost my concentration and did not reach my target.

Today I have a party and study only 5 hours.

Finished Emergency in FA, now continue to do Ped qs.

Hey Robin..a q..how good is FA for step 2? since u have done FA thrice already, U can give a sincere opinion..I havent done my step 1 as yet and i have heard that FA is A MUST FOR STEP 1 unlike STEP 2..BUT you seem to be doing it at a regular basis..I read OB from FA yday ,after revising ob gyne from Kaplan, and to tell u the truth I dint find it gr8, and there were'nt any extra info in FA ,which kaplan or UW didnt provide, so i was thinking wether or not i shld be spending a lot of time reading FA for all other subjects, coz my exam is in the end of this month..
Or do u think, there are particular topics that is really worth reading from FA?

Thanks and GLwink
