how do loop diurectics and thiazides cause vasodilation? Does anybody know the mechanism? Thx.

I think its at the beginning of the htn section. or the beginning of the diruretic section. Check the first couple of paragraphs. It mentions that besides their normal actions to decrease volume, they have additional actions that cause vasodilation.

Yeah, correct, it is mentioned in Diuretics chapter in Kaplan..... first paragraph

Furosemide is a venodialator. Effect might be mediated by PGs, requires intact kidney function.
