This board is really good for just about everything, except study tricks. All those 99ers don't really mind sharing what books they used, their scores, etc. But no one really is willing to let the world know how exactly it is that they studied to get their scores. Try somewhere else bro..

i agree with what oldkid says and i would recommend u to just take a complete break for two days, dont go anywhere near ur books.i think u shld do this 1month before the exam also.it really was useful as i too had a similar situation during step1 and 2 prep. All the best to u.Dont worry u will do well.Just in case u want to read some more tips u could read my exam experience.

to rayberg :i dont agree with the views in the last post as this is a forum where people have been very helpful and i picked up lot of useful tips from pple in this forum.I have read quite a few detailed exam experiences in this forum which have been very useful.Other than that i think each of us has our own study pattern and one shld try and use these tips to chalk out a good study plan. Finally no matter what u read and how well prepared u re it finally comes down to destiny and what u do on the exam day as i have seen so many pple scoring high on nbme exams bur still ending up with 85 - 90 score.U should instead work hard and i am sure u will get ur 99 (dont forget to write ur tricks then-just joking).all the best

gv5, you're right. People are very helpful in their experiences in how to manage their time. But, that again, is different than Study tips. I think the original poster was referring to the mindset when one is studying, aka... do you write everything down. DO you read a page, cover it and repeat all the info? Do you read every chapter 2x back to back..etc etc. I hope you get the gist of wht I'm trying to say. I'm not calling anyone out. Posters on this board are extremely helpful and giving (see the # of links people post on an everyday basis), but there's one thing people don't share..its how exactly do they study. Everyone just about uses the same books for the MLE..why does one score 99, another 89, and some 75? That is something we need to figure out to help everyone...

Ray....all people are different from each other. God has created them that way. We didn't come out of factory so all will be alike, so exactly even if you are twin brothers or sisters and you study the same material and study the same time period you are sure going to score differently. What people type here is there best of the experience to guide you but how you perform in Prometric in front of that computer is upto you entirely.
