the start is with Physiology: 1 chapter /day

i'm totally in!
1 chapter a day sounds a little less though, coz some ch r so tiny..... esp the beginning few in physio....
lets keep it to "do wat u can / day" but fix a time limit to finish off 1 subject - say 2 wks? so every1 can go their own pace but finish at the same time.

for Simasif: how much to each subject: as short as I can
for Jole: Pathology = Kaplan + Goljan
for Drquack: the Idea of group study is to share plans with UR mates (2 heads better than one) so I'm waiting ur suggestions for time table: when we study in the same table ,U'll never B lazy coz U'll have to coapt with us, believe me, I've danced this dance before 
for Sunlight: the better start is with Physiology: Monday 29/Jan = chapter 1 + MCQ as much as U can

hey superabood - a couplla qs.
is everyone JUST starting with physio , ie i'm guessing every1 in this grp shud be on the beginning few chs these days rite? wats the next subject u'l be tackling?
if we do 1 ch/ day - how long will it take to do ALL the subjects, have u worked that out? we shud be aiming to finish atleast 3 reads of the kaplan material eventually & do lotsa mcqs. thats the reason 1ch/day seems too less to me!
some of the ppl i know r actually doing 2-3 subjects simultaneously - i don't like the idea of that. don't think i can handle that much - maybe once i'm done familiarizing with the material i can revise & look up stuff, but not just yet!
wat do u say?
& wat other study resources do u plan to use. besides qbank any other mcqs?

suggesstion: i think we should go system wise like for example if we stert with cardio we do the embryo,histo, anatomy,physio,patho,pharma all subjects regarding this topic in that way we will cover most of the subjects it wll b easy to understand as the exam is an integrated one

hey penzy ... u seen the '07 edition of first aid - thats how they'v put down the stuff - "system-atically" . i guess they realized too that the integrated system is more organized & works best in reviewing.
i was planning on doing it that way, but figured i shud give myself one "good read" of everything 1st.
eventually it boils down to wat works for u - so if u think u'd be more comfy doing the integrated system from the get go, go ahead.

Have similar time frame, but start with anatomy. Physio or behavoior will be next, I guess.
Any plan of how many page a day & how many days for each subjects roughly.
Any how will be at the same at the end, near exam.with the Q discussion.

Drquack, I agree with U 1 good reeding is required B4 systematic reading, so I'll do 1 chapter physio/day:
1st Feb = ch 1
2nd Feb = ch 2
3rd Feb = ch 3
4th Feb = ch 4
I wish we could catch this system, if U didn't started yet U can do both ch 1 & 2 in 2nd Feb

I'm doing Histo review, Embryo, so on to day.

Unless you plan for it, why not start with traditional way anatomy, physio, biochem then you need Beh Sc in betwwn or after these 3 to destress, relax study in kaplan. Keep Beh Sc for that.
Any how, just my 2cents.

i finished my 1st read of physio from BRS and Path 1st read from Goljan. i've just got the Kaplan notes so i'll start my reading of Physio tomorrow inshallah.meanwhile i've started biochem from Kaplan.i'll keep posting my progress.

but its like kaplan has it in this order.
so i think i should follow it or it will go in different direction and me in other.
Basically i dont want to start with anat or something very important. to get in to study mood i will need 4 -5 days. so i think beh sc is better than anat.
what do u say?

Any plan works for you, you like it, follow it.
Thought kaplan say start with traditional way as med school, Anatomy , pysio , so fort.
It used to be, in their menue/ syllibus.

1st aid recommend the Physio start, as it has the least memorizing & the most understanding, thus it won't B forgot by next read.. on contrast to Anatomy wi\hich has alot of memorizing, so it's to B more close to next read
