hi,

I got two prematches, one in pediatric and the other in family medicine. which one do you think guys has better future ,more opportunities for work? what would you choose if you were in my position. Please need advice . Thank you

Thank you all. What do yu mean Dev by( Pediatrics any day). Good luck for all of you and thanks for helping me. And if I like to practice general peds ,is it ok or I have to go for a subspeciality?

congratulations shadia may i ask whats your year of graduation and also did you have any experience USCE or otherwise?

i think both will have opportunities as long as you go looking for them. pick the one that you think you will enjoy working in for the next 30 years. if you think peds. has more opportunities but can't see yourself working with crying or tempermental kids all day then forget about peds. because you're going to be very unhappy. I know someone who chose neuro. because it was a very difficult specialty and thus somewhat more prestigious...after the 1st year he's performing well, but he hates it. congrats on your prematches, listen to your heart.

There is no actual difference between specialties, they are all medicine. If you master a subject, you really enjoy it later on.

You have to see wath are you going to do after graduation, what are job opportunites depending on the state and your family situation.

I think sometimes, the city is more important than the speciality. In some small city, you cannot feel the real life. Everyday is the same as the year before and the people are the same. I presonaly love large cities.

It can be a difficult decision, I hope you good luck.
