Hello synapse79,

Congrats on the offer. I think its a good program. I interviewed there too and waiting for their reply. Can you please tell when you interviewed and when u were offered prematch if you dont mind.

Thanks a lot

hi skdoc, thank u. i interviewed in december and was offered a position after roughly 3 weeks. GL to u too.

they offer H1 2 of them already gone to my friends. so if u want it u should take it.

stipend is high but work load too. When I analyzed the prog It seemed to me that they were understaff (this is the reason they pay high). You have to cover the staff they dont want to hire and they pay you for that. But if you work to much you may not have time to learn enough

thanx wamba! so what wud u do if u were me? i know its difficult to say, but pls be more specific, its the program one among the bad ones? i did try to observe a lot during my interview but as u wud agree, half a day is so short a period to assess anything..pls guide me, where does it stand, lets say in comparison to middle tier NY programs?

I was 4 hrs late for the interview. My plane was cancelled the previous day due to bad weather conditions. So I had to take the first flight on the day of my interview which by the way was also late and I reached crozer at 11:45. I was supposed to be there at 7;30. I practically missed everything about the program, the PD was kind enough to understand and accomodate me into the interview schedule.

Good Luck with ur decision synapse

wamba and everyone else, pls give your opinion!! thanks in advance. where wud u rate crozer? is chester a very unsafe place?

  #13

i dont think its unsafe. u could talk to residents and live in the same complex as them

It is difficult to give you an advice. This is what I would do: Crozer is considered a decent program BUT I think you might not have a life, and the work load might be so high that the quality of your learning could be affected. This is just the feeling a had with this prog.

That said, your priority is getting a position. So if you sense that going to the match is risk, DONT HESITATE, accept the offer, even because the program you are accepting is a decent one. Many people say that the match is good. Everything will depend on your performance. If you feel you did VERY well (and therefore not just well), if you emaied one of these progs after the interviews and you got a satisfying feed-back AND if you dont want to accept crozer, then try the match. Otherwise accept the offer.

In my opinion, the match is good if you performed VERY well at most of your interviews, not just well. I saw so many people who didnt match last year with 8, 10 or 12 interviews that I cant say it is that good for IMGs. But if you have 8 interviews and you did VERY well, you can try.
