Read kaplan notes at least twice.

Do UW and take notes from every question.

Revise your own notes and FA.

Take NBME to see where you stand, then focus on your weak areas evaluated by NBME.

Sit for the real exam only if your NBME>500.

Good luck.

These are suggestions from Step 2ck 99ers that I always remember.

There is a difference in how you read those kaplan notes. Just simply reading the text wont cut it you have to understand concepts and be able to know which is the best diagnostic step v/s the next step for all the major diseases. I truly feel that this exam requires you to know your medicine on the back of your hands very well. So yes many people say read notes twice or thrice but its HOW well you understand the notes is what counts! This is not an impossible exam..many have passed it before us..we too shall make that leap! believe in yourself and study like a rock star!

Take the test in 3mos again & analyze your weak areas. Do nbme. GL
