I had IVs in last Nov and Dec, this month too. When will the PDs start to rank us? and what's the best timing to email them again? or do we need to let them know our interests once or twice before ranking? Thanks for helping.

Just got a "snail" mail last week from the PD where I was interviewed back in November. He asked me to remember the experience I got during the IV day when I submit the ranking and he mentioned that I would be a good fit to his program. The address was handwritten by himself as well as his signature. It's a university based program.

PDs will start anytime now - some may have been doing it throughout the interview process. Now is a good time to email a PD and remind him that you would like to work there. It doesn't need to be long or fancy.

BBB, I got a reply. The PD told me that I will be certainly ranked. Do you know generally how many candidates PD would Rank? Lets say, 10 positions, how many candidates would be in the rank order list? the waiting period is killing me. Thanks.

bbb- is it ok to send another reminder email about ranking, even if you sent a thank you note stating that you would rank them.

It's common sense - just don't over do it. If you interviewed and sent a thank you, there is no problem with sending a quick email to remind them that you are still thinking of the program.

I don't reply to everyone, they really aren't asking for a reply, just letting me know what they think.

Hi bbb, Is it alright to email the PD for the ranking or is it desirable to write to the PC as well? Thanks.
