Hi,I am an IMG and planning to finish all my USMLE exams by summer 07 so that I can start a residency next year. I have currently an E2 visa with valid permit for work. Came 18 months ago with my husband and his company sponsored us the visa. We are also currently working on the greencard over his company. But if it lasts longer than expected with the greencard,may I also work with my E2 and a valid permit for work in a residency or research position? Has anybody experience with that? I would be so very grateful for all kind of help!

If you have a work permit, you should be able to work anywhere in the USA. But check with an immigration attorney to get the best information.
